On June 17th a group of University Heights Charter School students were treated to an end of year reward; a pirate adventure, complete with swashbuckling, treasure maps, booty and grog. The second graders were sailing with the Jersey Shore Pirates, a small company that creates daily adventures for children along the Metedeconk river. The class got a day of fun and education, as they learned about pirates, water safety, and worked together to make it through their adventure. (Video by A.J. Chavar/The Star-Ledger)
